MARTA BOZHIKOVA

Marta Bozhikova

graduated in law at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridsky” in 2004. Following her admission as a member of the Bar of Plovdiv in 2005, she completed an LLM in European Union law at the University Carlos III de Madrid, followed by a postgraduate specialization in Competition Law at the same University.

Her professional activity continues in Brussels, Belgium where she works as a trainee lawyer in O’Connor and Company Law Firm. In the period December 2007 – September 2008 she works as a deputy mayor in the Municipality of Plovdiv, responsible for European policies and international cooperation. 

Since October 2008 Marta returns to her legal practice and to the team of Evelina Bozhikova and Partners Law Firm. She specializes her activity in the field of EU law and funds, International Law, Corporate and Competition Law and public procurement. 

In 2010 Marta is a lector in the workshop “EU Legislative procedures and techniques” organized in the framework of a project aimed at increasing the capacity of the Ministry of Justice Legislative Council Directorate and financed by Operative programme “Administrative capacity”.

Since March 2011 Marta is part of the team of experts of the project “Preparation of a package of documents aimed at modernization and development of sustainable urban transportation system in Plovdiv” and is responsible for the legal implications of the project.

Marta is fluent in English and Spanish.
